Just a few points to clarify:
- Yes, you can go a bit over the slide (word equivalent) length for this assessment.
- Consider the ‘form and content’ of the presentation. For example, if you are presenting a piece on cognitive load when using PowerPoint, exhibit good principles of cognitive load in a PowerPoint presentation. This is also called ‘modeling’… ;-)
- Clearly identify your audience. As you know by now, ‘who’ you are presenting to will impact on your design and content choices. You may provide a brief explanation of your audience and aims in the beginning or on your assignment coversheet.
- References do not need to be included in the presentation. You can provide these at the end or as part of the coversheet, if you like. You do not need to reference images if they are freely available, but you DO need to reference images if it is specifically requested by the copyright owner (uncommon).
- The presentation must be available online. You will provide the link or access details to me in an assignment coversheet, emailed to sahoward@uow.edu.au. If you are sharing the document with me, please share with sahoward.uow@gmail.com. Yes, this coversheet can be provided through email or GoogleDocs.
- The assignment is due on Friday, October 28th. Please let me know by Wednesday, October 26th, if you would like an extension.
On a final note, I am looking for feedback on this subject. This is the first year I’ve run this subject and I’d like to know a few things about your experience in it. You can provide feedback at the following link:
Participation is completely voluntary, but your responses would be very helpful.
That said, feel free to contact me if you have any last questions about this final assignment.
Have a great week!
Thanks, Sarah
